| Ginger is a perennial plant grown in India, China, Mexico, and a few other countries. The rhizome (underground stem) is used for medicinal purposes. Ginger is most commonly used in connection with morning sickness, motion sickness, nausea and vomiting following surgery, atherosclerosis, migraine headaches, and rheumatoid arthritis.
